Spin The Block 2024: A Humanities Event on Wheels

We will be traveling throughout the urban area of Connecticut Bring the message of behavioral transformation and life edification!

SPIN THE BLOCK 2024 is part of our public outreach and advocacy program called the Urban Disciples Initiative! This intuitive is aimed circumventing the sub-cultural doorways the lead to of incarceration and recidivism. At-Risk people from within these communities and environments will be engaged through one-on-one interaction by a peer group representative introducing alternative methods of expression with music being the backdrop.

TIME IS SHORT WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We are preparing to relaunch our summer outreach/ advocacy campaign! Where we drive around looking for locations to engage in social advocacy in a fun a celebratory way! We are calling it "Spin The Block 2024: Urban Street Crusade! Its perfect because we are actually spinning the block!

Every Year we canvas local inner city neighbor hoods engaging the community with a message of hope and celebration. Releasing the youth, young adults and adults who are fluent in urban culture into these communities addressing the negative elements that undermine families, safety, and the communities themselves! Spinning the Block to locations like where they came from, and often to the communities they live in!

Utilizes hip hop culture, rap, and other contemporary forms of music and the performing arts the social empower and to transform minds! We offer mediation, mentorship, and hope!

Normally we are more local with our tour, but this year we at the planning stages of a city-to-city crusade that will amass need for various material and non-material resources.

End of the tour awe going to have a celebratory festal acknowledging the supporters of the summer tour called : SOS FEST 2024: SPIN THE BLOCK! we are planning a large-scale!

To carry out this mandate we will need:

Power Generators

Powerful mobile sound system

This will include:

- Laptops

- Speakers

- Woofers

- Amplifiers

- Microphones

- Mixers

- Miscellaneous connectivity parts

This is just the beginning of the foreseeable…

We're going to need permits, insurance, and licenses. We'll have to rent a stage, generator, sound system, and musical instruments. To attract the people will have to bring in national an international recording artists and speakers. The festival will be like the smaller scale neighborhood tour stops. We'll need everything that we need for the neighborhood locations, but more and larger!
