On The Breakfast Club radio show A Pastor says: "Church is Wack!"

The Organization vs the Organism

In a fervent speech, Pastor Tribbett boldly declared, "I believe the institution of the Church is completely off track." With unwavering passion, he expressed his frustration at the Church's misguided priorities."The essence of the Church should revolve around uplifting the people, but instead, it has become self-serving," Tribbett passionately articulated. "Rather than serving and embracing the community, the focus has shifted to the Church itself."

Recently Pastor Tye Tribbett a Grammy award wining "Gospel Artist" said some scathing things about 'church' ... The sound bite is buzzing "the church is Wack" has many Believers up in arms and feeling some sort of way!

The main point we believe that he was pointing to with that particular statement, which he tried to explain later in the interview... Was the organization and its polarizing, politicking, denominationalizing antics that are devoid from the true Church which is the #ORGANISM...

Thing is MANY other people who are True in The Faith speak, and have spoken out against this in some form or the other.... What many people are calling church has not been and is not "The Church" anyway.

One takeaway might be that we must work hard at #REDEFINING what “THE CHURCH” REALLY IS... ... ...

PERSONALLY The biggest thing I disagreed with is WHERE he said it... On the Breakfast Club...

HOWEVER, there may have been wisdom in it even if most of us did not agree...

Our scriptures tell us to agree with our enemy quickly (Matthew 5:25) ...

In the interview Pastor Tye flipped in on them and begin to ask them questions...

Even when they asked about William Murphy who had The explicit lyrics of a secular song playing in the church building.... He flipped it on them again almost like Jesus would have, “what did you say?”

...I'm glad he did not back down on that. He said that the church needs to be a sacred space, end of the building that it needs to be a sacred space...

Historically, I remember that dude they called Charlemagne was against the church totally... Now do is starting to speak church language, and is admittedly going to Church...

I could see conviction on Jess Hilarious, Also she seemed to have a specific stance of protecting the sacred space and seem to acknowledge that there is an existence The True Church of which she thought was beyond contempt or playing with...

During his interview he asked some pointed questions and we began to see the mindset of some of the people out there...

The Q&A reflected People who occupy our spaces and those who don't.

In our opinion one of the only times that he might have faltered was in the closing prayer, which was thrown on him and he was not expecting... ... ... He could have asked GOD The FATHER to move upon their hearts to open them up to the potential of having a personal relationship with Him...Again he was on his Matthew 5:25 time and trying his best to work it...

It was a blip and he did not have much time neither was it the platform to TOTALLY proselytize.

He did speak to the principles of scripture and and even quoted some...

SOOO... Let's not cancel our brother.... Let's learn from what he did, or did not do.

Many people would have TOTALLY caved, OR PANDERED under that pressure.

As Urban Disciples Let's be ready to be used on larger platforms... Because some of you most certainly will. Listen... Learn, be prepared.

Tribbett's stirring words have sparked a mix of admiration and criticism across social media platforms. What are your thoughts on his compelling stance?
